ACME Acting Company

Acme Acting Company is a theater group sponsored by WAVE. All profits made by Acme go back to WAVE to fund programs for the teachers and students of Westside Union School District. Over the past 18 years, Acme Acting Company has put over 1,000 young people on stage as actors and has raised over $100,000.00 for WAVE.

  • Over 7,000 students see the performances at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center each year

Acme’s goal is to foster a love of theater in young people by putting them on stage as actors and in the theater as audience members.

All directors are volunteers, and they, along with many other volunteers donate their time to put on musical theatrical productions for students during field trip shows, and for the public.

ACME Acting Company presents Cats!

Based on the popular poetry of T.S.Elliot, CATS tells the story, in song and dance of the annual gathering of the Jellicle Cats at which one time, a special cat is selected to ascend to the Heavyside layer. A musical theatre phenomenon, Cats ran on Broadway for 18 years!
